What is a B Corporation?
B Corp is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or USDA Organic certification is to milk.
B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. There are over 2,500+ Certified B Corps in the world including Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s and King Arthur Flour.
My company, Advance Humanity, was one of the first dozen Certified B Corps in Vermont. I also helped lead the certification of the first Certified B Corps in Asia in 2010.
