What’s Your Optimist Type?
Ten short questions. Two scores — how much you believe good things are coming, and how much you act regardless of what you believe. Put them together and you get one of four types. It’s a mirror I built after years running the Optimist Center and studying happiness at work, not a validated instrument — but most people recognize themselves in it.

Every Saturday morning I send one short essay on optimism, purpose, and enough — the same territory this quiz just walked you through.
This is a two-minute reflection I wrote myself — not a peer-reviewed instrument, and not a diagnosis. If you want the real, guided version of this kind of self-reflection, the Values Exercise and Crafting Your Purpose go much deeper. It’s still a beta, too — if your result felt off, or you’ve got an idea for it, I’d love to hear it: travishellstrom@gmail.com.
